The Graduate Student Nursing Association (GSNA) was formed in 1969 to promote, regulate, and maintain graduate affairs within the UCLA School of Nursing (SON). Our purpose is to act as a liaison between faculty and students, to provide opportunities for group interaction and leadership experience, to provide a forum for discussion of issues facing students within the nursing profession, to further the quality of graduate education in the School of Nursing, and to represent the graduate nursing students to the University at large.
Mission: To create opportunities of learning, service, and socializing, and serve as a resource for advocacy and communication between students, administration and community.
Vision: To enrich the overall academic, social, and service experience of the UCLA School of Nursing Graduate Students.
Membership: Your status as a graduate nursing student at the UCLA School of Nursing automatically entitles you to membership in GSNA - therefore there are no membership dues. Because of this, we encourage you to support GSNA by participating in our fundraisers, the proceeds of which directly benefit the graduate nursing student body through GSNA events. Members are eligible to participate in all GSNA events, activities and service opportunities.
